Gabriela Kozłowska became the new Quality Assurance Director at Aflofarm Farmacja Polska. In this position, he replaced Andrzej Szymański, who assumed the position of the Management Advisor in fulfilling legal requirements related to the maintenance of quality in all the companies of the company. Andrzej Szymański started working in Aflofarm in 1991 as Head of the Galen Laboratory in Ksawerowo. He then served as Production Director at the Aflopa Pharmaceutical Factory for five years. In 2002 he assumed the position of Chief Specialist for Quality Assurance Systems until 2016. Gabriel Kozłowska joined Aflofarm Pharmacy Polska in 1995 as an employee of Rzgów. She quickly moved to a laboratory where she worked as a quality control laboratory. In 2001, she became a quality control manager. She then moved to a drug production facility in Ksawerowo. In April 2013, she was promoted to Deputy Chief Technical Officer for Quality Assurance Systems, where she worked closely with, among other things, with Andrzej Szymański. Quality Assurance plays a particularly important role in Aflofarma. The company manages the portfolio of more than 500 active product positions, each of which arises in organizational, technical and qualitative terms consistent with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Pharmaceutical quality is one of our biggest distinctions and an element that connects all our product categories. OTC and RX are the most important categories. We also have products that are not medicines such as medical devices, diet supplements, cosmetics and sports products. It is worth noting that each of these categories is produced in a drug-specific environment, which is clearly above the generally applicable standards. The main task of the Quality Assurance Team is to coordinate this process, says Jacek Furman, president of Aflofarm Pharmacy Poland. The Quality Assurance Division of Aflofarm currently has 100 employees. Its important elements are the Quality Control Departments operating at the Labs in Rzgów, Ksawerowo and Pabianice, where physico-chemical and microbiological analyzes are performed. The Quality Assurance Division is committed to ensuring that all these products are manufactured under the appropriate conditions set by the Ministry of Health Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and that they meet the requirements of the registration dossier and are therefore safe for patients. Such a state of affairs involves the obligation to have and follow many procedures and detailed instructions. It is a very important element of our work which, in fact, enables us to operate the market, emphasizes Gabriel Kozłowska.
