Stepcil is a Rx category medicine belonging to the group of the so-called phosphodiesterase type 3 inhibitors. Until now, the product was available in a package containing 56 tablets. Now, however, it can be purchased in a larger package - containing as many as 112 tablets.

Stepcil contains the active ingredient cilostazol (Cilostazolum), which is used to improve maximum walking distance without pain in patients with vascular claudication. This condition manifests as cramp-type pain in the lower extremities that occurs during walking, and is caused by impaired blood flow to the legs.

Stepcil constitutes a second-choice treatment for patients in whom lifestyle modifications (including smoking cessation and exercise programs) and other appropriate interventions have not sufficiently relieved the symptoms of vascular claudication.

Each tablet contains 100mg of cilostazol.
